About The Hine Centre

Our Story

The Hine Centre was born from a simple but vital vision: to create a space where care isn't just a service, but a community. Based in the heart of Martock, we recognized a growing need for a day centre that balances professional, high-standard support with the warmth and familiarity of a "home away from home."

Our journey began with the belief that everyone deserves to lead a fulfilling, socially connected life, regardless of the challenges they may face. We saw an opportunity to support not just the individuals who visit us, but also their families and our local partners across Somerset. By providing a safe, vibrant environment, we help our visitors maintain their independence and dignity while giving their loved ones much-needed peace of mind.

Why We Do What We Do

We are more than just a day service, we are a partnership. Every day at The Hine Centre is built on:

  • Purpose: Meaningful activities that keep the mind and body active.

  • Connection: Combatting isolation by fostering genuine friendships within our local community.

  • Professionalism: Working hand-in-hand with Somerset Council, GPs, and local support teams to ensure seamless care.

Today, we are proud to be a trusted hub for Martock and the surrounding areas. Whether you are an individual looking to join a community, a family member looking for support or a professional seeking a reliable care pathway for a client, our story is one of dedication, compassion, and a commitment to ensuring every day at The Hine Centre is truly enriching.
